New Graphical Improvements for Farming Simulator 22 with GIANTS…

Farming Simulator 22 brings even better performance and graphics than the previous version thanks to their new game engine. The GIANTS Engine 9 features DirectX 12, Parallax Occlusion Mapping, and a lot more!

The GIANTS Engine is a game engine built by the company Giants Software. While other engines are applicable to multiple genres, like shooters or racing games and may offer some features, this specific engine has several unique requirements that no other gaming platforms can provide out of the box.

If they were to use another engine for Farming Simulator, it would need a huge amount of customization. In the end, they’d have their own customized solution – which is what already exists and has modability.

Farming Simulator 22 offers greater control over the CPU and GPU with DirectX 12. In previous versions, Farming Simulator used OpenGL / DirectX 11 to improve performance on PC systems by limiting how many objects can be drawn simultaneously while maximizing overall efficiency for each type of system.

In the GIANTS Engine 9, complex tasks are managed with less driver overhead. As a result of this efficiency in resource management we have more free CPU resources for other jobs!

The GIANTS Engine allows for dynamic loading of higher or lower resolution textures based on what is actually visible. We can now put more objects into the game and reduce needed slots per vehicle, since we no longer need to ensure that all full texture variations are loaded at once. Also, Texture Streaming uses a caching system which makes sure not to load any unnecessary assets while still allowing us great flexibility in streaming different resolutions depending on where you’re driving your car (such as near fields/forest).

Occlusion Culling is another important optimization technique that allows the engine to make even more detailed worlds. It basically prevents the engine from performing any expensive rendering for completely hidden objects; boxes behind a barn are not rendered until you see them, boosting performance by saving resources.

Farming Simulator 22 features temporal anti-aliasing which is a technique to reduce unwanted rendering artifacts such as jagged edges or flickering specular highlights using the information from previous frames. The GIANTS Engine 9 uses TAA by default but it can be turned off for better performance or if you don’t like how it looks.

Previous games relied on MSAA as the default Anti Aliasing solution, but compared to that TAA is faster and usually leads to better results. For example, while only geometric edges receive a boost from using MSAA , TAA helps resolve issues such as flickering specular highlights too.

Parallax Occlusion Mapping adds depth and detail to the surfaces in your game, making them look more realistic. For instance, by showing how tires have worn down on a field or leaving tracks that make trenches across it!

A key feature of the GIANTS Engine 9 is that we are now able to render shadows much further away. This helps increase visual quality in the distance and makes your farmlands appear more natural, realistic, and visually appealing!

More on this we’re sure will be coming as be edge closer to the release of Farming Simulator 22!

Farming Simulator 22 Build Mode Features All New Features…

Farming Simulator 22 features a brand-new and improved build mode, combining landscaping with the placement of buildings. If you watched this year’s FarmCon, you already got a glimpse of it!

The overhaul from the construction system from Farming Simulator 19 was done for two reasons: First, they needed to improve the usability. With your feedback in mind, they’re making changes to make the building even more user-friendly!

In addition to the new production chains, they also revamped all of the placeable items and redesigned most controls. You can now quickly switch between placing buildings and objects, landscaping, removing objects. As for landscaping and sculpting we added new tools to edit your terrain – it’s easier than ever before! You can now build your farm just how you like it with ease.

The new crops in Farming Simulator 22 are grapes and olives, which can be planted by building vines. So if you want to build a vineyard, first open up your inventory and strip the land with vines so that they grow on it.

Animal farming is a great hobby to take up as well! If you’re looking for more variety, there are more than a few different types of fences and gates. Additionally, we’ve got the poles and fence lines that will make your fencing experience even better.

Overall, everything is put in one of the following categories:

  • Buildings are split further into sheds, silos, silo extensions, containers, and tools. Here, you find buildings like the new sheds by Rudolf Hörmann, each with functionality and things like vehicle services points or solar panels.
  • Production contains all the buildings needed to start your production chains or earn you additional money another way. There are factories, selling points, greenhouses, orchards and generators.
  • Animals contain all the pens for your animals – in different shapes, sizes, and some additional functionality.
  • Decoration contains fences, (street) lights and more. With this set of items, you can provide your farm with a lot of details.
  • Landscaping contains… well, the landscaping tools for sculpting, painting, trees, and plants. Here, you find everything to make your farmland more individual.

Sound design improvements in Farming Simulator 22

Farming Simulator 22 will feature various sound improvements.. One the new feature of the audio system is dynamic load processing: it simulates an engine having various loads and resistances applied. Whether you drive a tractor under a huge load or drive uphill, your equipment will sound more authentic. To achieve this goal, our team used real-life recordings from real machines to mix with other effects in order to model what these theoretical sounds might be like when combined together for authenticity’s sake.

Secondly, the new attachment audio system will be found in Farming Simulator 22. The audio team visited local farmers to create references for the new sound tool that would play various sounds during an animation. The unloading of a trailer in Farming Simulator 22 will be accompanied by unique sound effects. A rear lid opening, hydraulic parts moving around and metal on metal results in heavy sounds; every attachment has its own set of sounds that are perfectly designed to match the object’s actions.

While driving your tractor, notice the immersive sound environment. You not only hear the engine but sounds of windshield wipers and rattling objects inside cabin.

We can’t wait to “hear” more about these new features!

Farming Simulator 22 – NEW Crops And Machinery Unveiled!…

It’s time to get your hands dirty! Farming Simulator 22 introduces three new crops: Grapes, olives and sorghum. Thanks to the game’s improved production chains you can process them further with grape-juice olive oil or even sugar for cakes.

It is not just a vineyard that you can enjoy on your own, but also the scenic view. Planting grapes across hillsides and curved fields will make it look idyllic – as if your farm was a vacation spot. To fully appreciate this sight for yourself, however, be sure to take care of those grape vines! With special equipment like fertilizers and loosening up the ground first with mulch too (for good measure), then these fruits need to have their fruit harvested before they spoil from rain or sun damage.

You will love planting countless grape vines all over slopes of different shapes in order create an amazing backdrop onto which you can gaze at leisurely while taking care of them — especially when using specialized tools & fertilizers

Farming Simulator 22’s seasonal growth feature is a great way to keep your farm fresh and active all year long, no matter what time of the year it may be. Planting grapes in March through June will allow you to reap their sweet rewards come September and October with New Holland Braud 9070L! Don’t forget about planting crops for next season ahead of winter and storing those that have been harvested before they spoil during these colder months.

If your grape farm just isn’t Mediterranean enough, plant olive trees to complete the look.

The harvesting season for olives is the same as grapes, but you’ll have to harvest them a little bit quicker. Olives are only harvested in September so make sure not to miss your window of opportunity with New Holland’s Braud 9090X!

Sorghum is one of the most important food substances in the world. It’s highly nutritious due to its dietary fibers and it can be used for a lot of different human consumption purposes. World-wide, sorghum cultivation has steadily increased over time but mainly because dry climate areas are prevalent.

Since we introduce production chains with Farming Simulator 22, you can process the new crops after harvesting. You might be wondering what to do with grapes? Well fine and tasty grape-juice is a great idea! But dried grapes are also delicious too – don’t you think? Olives make excellent high grade olive oil while sorghum produces good flour for baking.

As usual, stay tuned as more information on this will be coming soon!
